Why I was gutted

seen as I seem to be in a phase of revealing partially hidden truths, here goes:

It was about a girl.

Did you need to ask?

A girl? Matt! You know to stay away: that's where cooties come from!

I know I am just drawn by that need to feel completley rejected every now and then.

Now then (!), let us discuss: Girl invites boy out for coffee. you are busy, you re arrange. Girl expands to dinner. You agree. Girl invites you to her flat in London for dinner which she will cook. You are hesitant but agree.

Girl cancels for good reasons. Girl then rejects your calls and ignores you ...

Boy gives up and tries to realise that he is totally and completely loved by someone who desires the best for him.

Boy wonders what image as pariah of the male species he would be regarded as had he treated girl like this.

Boy laughs heartily at the weirdness of human beings including himself.

Boy fancies other girl.

peulxgd!

*update*

girl got back with boyfriend. Boy was being used to make said boyfriend jealous.

Seriously, do things like this happen in real life? I though they just happened in cheesey teen high school rom coms from the late 80's

later dudes.

Ah, Rebound Guy. That nice guy, well thought of but somehow always ends up last. There are many variations, but the way I see it the luckiest of the species is he who escapes earliest.

Onward, Rebound Boy, to new adventures!
