Right, it makes many a good point. I still think of McDonalds et al. as a reward or a treat or, at least, different and somewhat special. Why go somewhere special to eat a salad?

Remember when we went to see Super Size Me at the Waterfront? I remember getting really, really hungry watching it.

lol i do remember. I think it's perverse from a Corporate Social Responsibility point of view. The fast food companies have been makign a big thing of their ethical credentials for the last two years. Honestly, their customers were NEVER interested in the salads. This is no shock to me. the salads etc were there to attempt to placate responsible investors such as myself, or to provide some 'smoke and mirrors' diversion from the main buinsess; serviong food which meets 70% of your calorific intake IN ONE BURGER.

Tesco have just published some research on the impact of food labelling showing that where they labelled up the most negative conbtents i.e. high salf contenjt, there was a correlation with declining sales.

Maybe McDonalds should come with a health warning.

for your amusement
